Revel Casino confirmed today that it will close its doors in Atlantic City. The casino, which has filed for bankruptcy protection twice, has been unable to find a buyer. Plans are to close next month, according to Eater Philly.
The casino is home to several Jose Garces restaurants, along with one D.C. transplant: Robert Wiedmaier's Mussel Bar. Co-owner Polly Wiedmaier says it's business as usual at the restaurant for now, which had been doing solid business up to the announcement.
"We don't know anything certain at this point," she said, saying it is still possible that the casino could find a buyer. "We just have to wait and see."
Revel was also home to a location of Michel Richard's Central, but it closed last year.
