Seven Faces Barroom Nixed; GCDC's Cheese CSA

Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

DOWNTOWN— Two words: cheese share. GCDC is launching a cheese CSA of sorts this fall. Cheese lovers can get a different wedge of cheese from the grilled cheese shop each Wednesday, along with drink reccs and recipes, for $50 for five weeks. It kicks off in September. [EaterWire]

SHAW— Bartender dream team project Seven Faces Barroom has been nixed, at least for now. Young & Hungry reports the bar that would be the brainchild of Patrick Owens, Owen Thomson, and Ashley May isn't happening. [WCP]

AWARDS SEASON— Big day for Rose's Luxury. Not only did it get named to Bon Appetit's list of Best New Restaurants, but it also got a nod from Southern Living. It's in the top 10 Best Southern Restaurants, along with sort-of-nearby Staunton restaurant The Shack. [SL]
