Bryan Voltaggio Charged with DUI in June

Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

Local celebrity chef Bryan Voltaggio was charged with driving/attempting to drive a vehicle under the influence of alcohol in Baltimore earlier this summer, according to court records. The incident was originally reported by The Frederick News-Post.

The chef behind Volt, Family Meal, Lunchbox and Range did not contribute to an accident and did not experience personal injury, according to the records. The alleged incident took place at 12:20 a.m. on June 6.

A court date has been scheduled in Baltimore City on Sept. 19, according to the records. Eater has reached out to Voltaggio's publicist for any comment or statement, but has not received a response.

Voltaggio just opened a location of Lunchbox in Chevy Chase, as well as an Aggio in Baltimore, and is planning to expand his Family Meal concept over the next year.
