Lobster-on-a-stick. It's coming for you, Bethesda.
Vegas-based Lobster ME will open its third location nationwide at Westfield Montgomery Mall October 28. Maine lobster is the specialty of the fast-casual restaurant. They serve a variety of lobster rolls, influenced by different culinary styles including Vietnamese and Cajun (don't worry; there's also a classic Maine variety). They're also known for the Lobsicle, a lobster kabob of sorts that can be ordered grilled or fried.
Lobster ME will carry other seafood items, including takes on Maryland crab. Items are all made to order and sourced from Maine. They'll serve beer at the Bethesda location, and are considering serving specialty cocktails as well, according to spokeswoman Kristen Bailey.
The company is in "rapid expansion mode" and looking at locations both on the East and West Coast, including more in the D.C. area, she said.
