Eater D.C. Seeks an Associate Editor. Is It You?

Come work for Eater

Attention, would-be members of the Eater team: We're looking to hire a D.C.-area resident who's mainlined into the soul of the city's dining scene to take on the job of Eater D.C. associate editor. Our fabulous and prolific associate editor, Meredith Bethune, is moving on to new adventures abroad.

This is a part-time, freelance gig with commensurate pay. You'll be able to work remotely as long as you can keep your ear close to the ground for good restaurant and nightlife intel. We're looking for someone who is available to write for Eater on a daily basis, working directly with the current D.C. editor. There will be editing duties and additional responsibilities as well. Only applicants with flexible schedules (i.e., no full-time, 9-5 jobs) are encouraged to apply.

Interested candidates should drop an email to dc@eater.com with a brief description of yourself and a paragraph or two about your journalism background and why you'd be a good fit for the job. (No long intro involving childhood food memories, please.) Use the subject line: Eater D.C. Associate Editor. Please include a link to a writing sample as well. If we like what we see, we'll be in touch. Thanks!
