EatsPlace Snags First Chefs in Residence

Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

Food incubator in progress EatsPlace has snagged the first chefs that will operate there.

EatsPlace, which will launch this fall, will be the home for Charles Lyons, chef of DC Born and Raised. He'll do an "elevated soul food" Southern concept, according to a press release. He has previously worked for Hill Country, Mari Vanna and Georgia Brown's. He'll cook there during dinner and brunch.

Mason Dixie, the popular biscuit pop-up which just launched, will serve biscuit sandwiches during weekday breakfast and lunch.

Meanwhile, EatsPlace founder Katie Chang will helm the bar program, which will feature local breweries and cocktails. A launch date hasn't been finalized.
