The first Mason-Dixie Biscuits pop-up event at Dolcezza drew sell-out crowds and lines around the block. D.C. is clearly eager for biscuits and breakfast sandwiches.
The next place to find the company (which will make its home at the incubator EatsPlace) is Roofers Union. They'll serve a collaborative late night menu, working with chef Marjorie Meek-Bradley, with items like fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese whiz, BBQ briscuit hoecake tacos with fried pickles, moon pies and three biscuit sandwiches.
Find them Aug. 8 and 9 from 11 p.m. until they sell out (or 1 a.m., whichever comes first). Items are priced $6-$12.
