Frank Ruta Finds a Home at Bread Furst

Former Palena chef Frank Ruta has found a new kitchen — Mark Furstenberg's Bread Furst in Van Ness.

Ruta will begin cooking at the bakery in mid-September, according to a statement from Bread Furst. His job will be to run Bread Feast, a nightly neighborhood dinner offering. He'll work with former Palena pastry chef Aggie Chin on the project.

The menu will be simple, seasonal and change continuously, with antipasto, cocktails, wine and a family-style single menu. They'll post the dinner on the website daily and diners will be able to reserve a small number of tables.
