New York-based chef Alex Garcia will open one of his AG Kitchen locations in the Downtown Silver Spring development next spring.
The restaurant will be pretty large — about 7,700 square feet — and serve both American and Latin dishes (there's a similar restaurant in New York; here's the menu). Menu items there include pineapple pomegranate guacamole (served tableside) seafood paella and cubano sandwiches. Garcia hosts the Food Network show "The Melting Pot" and owns several different restaurants in New York.
There will be seating for about 180 at the new restaurant, plus a patio. They'll serve brunch, lunch and dinner.
