Cochon Heritage BBQ, a spin-off of Cochon 555, is coming to Washington Oct. 12. Competing in the event: Scott Drewno of The Source (who's won Cochon 555 twice), Erik Bruner-Yang of Maketto/Toki Underground (who won earlier this year), Kyle Bailey (Neighborhood Restaurant Group), Joe Palma (Bourbon Steak) and George Pagonis (Kapnos).

The five chefs will create several pork dishes featuring an entire heritage pig. Attendees will get to taste their offerings, plus plenty of bourbon, beer, oysters, charcuterie and cocktails. Other chefs cooking for the event: Haidar Karoum of Doi Moi, Benjamin Nola of Rose's Luxury, Ed Witt of the Partisan and more. Tickets start at $100; the event is being held at Taste of DC.
