Mama Rouge, from the couple that brought you Bangkok Joe's, will open in Georgetown on October 14. Owner Mel Oursinsini and owner/chef Aulie Bunyarataphan closed Bangkok Joe's to transition to this new concept, which will incorporate both French and Southeast Asian flavors.

That means a menu where French wines and crepes sit alongside banh mi sandwiches, Thai curries and pho. The owners maintain that this is not a fusion restaurant — it's simply where classic French dishes and classic Thai dishes coexist. Hungry for this combo? Diners can start making reservations through Mama Rouge's website starting on October 6. Get to it, and peep the full menu below.
