It's been 13 years since The Diner first opened its doors in Adams Morgan. The owners decided that meant it was time for a refresh, so that means a new look (mirrors! more counter seating!) and new menu items.
They've moved the bar to the front of restaurant, where there is more light. With the relocated bar comes new drinks like a tomatillo and kale-spiked Green Mary.
The Diner is hosting a "Welcome Back Happy Hour" today from 4-7 p.m. to show off the new drinks, bar and any additional food items. Free appetizers are involved.
