2) Shaw: A fast-casual Chinese restaurant is headed to D.C. Young & Hungry reports Chao Ku will open at 1414 9th St. NW. It's from Broad Branch Market owner John Fielding and former Tabard Inn chef Paul Pelt. Expect it sometime next year, with dishes like dan dan noodles and a number of vegetarian options.
