Welcome back to the photo series Eater Scenes, where Eater photographer Rey Lopez captures restaurants in action at a certain, and very specific, point in the day. Here, Lopez visits Dîner en Blanc, the pop-up dinner party making its way across the nation.

Dîner en Blanc, a pop-up dinner party that started in France, made it to D.C. last night (and will happen in 50 cities around the world this year). Guests who managed to secure an invite to the gathering had to bring their own food, tables, chairs, silverware, white tablecloth and everything necessary to create an all-white ambiance (including a white clothing ensemble).

The location of the event, Yards Park, was revealed just before it took place, with groups of attendees gathering at rallying points where they were told where to head next. D.C.'s event brought feathers, fascinators, champagne, sparklers and dancing.
