Chefs, farmers, executives and others will come together in D.C. to roast Chef Nora Pouillon, founder of Restaurant Nora, for charity.
This will be the first Chef's Roast, and organizers hope to make it a regular event, with other chefs being honored/mocked in other cities. The event will benefit Chef Action Network, and is scheduled for Sept. 22 at Dock 5 at Union Market.
Among those scheduled to roast Pouillon: Rick Bayless of Frontera Grill, Carla Hall, Patrick O'Connell, Robert Egger of DC Central Kitchen/LA Kitchen and more. The idea for the roast came from Eric and Sharapat Kessler of Arabella Advisors. Meanwhile, chefs including Scott Drewno, Mike Isabella and Cathal Armstrong will cook for the event, which is $300 (more for tables).
