Steak & Ice is no more, but all Taylor Gourmet locations get cheesesteak sandwiches again come Oct. 1.
There will be choices of beef ribeye or chicken breast for the cheesesteaks, accented with such toppings as American or Provolone cheese, onions and mushrooms, cherry pepper mayonnaise, marinara sauce, pepperoncini and more. Soft rolls will be available for both hoagies and cheesesteaks by that date as well.
Meanwhile, the hoagie company introduces its new fall specialty items tomorrow. They include new sandwiches like the Reading Terminal (roast beef, horseradish cream, caramelized onions, provolone, au jus) and new salads like the Logan Square (kale, roasted squash, green onions, cranberry, pecans, apple, gorgonzola and apple cider vinaigrette).
The chain is also planning to host a "Marinara Dunk Tank" at its Pizza Parts & Service restaurant during the H Street Festival Sept. 20.
