Unnecessary ramen mash-ups have hit the chains. Rockville-based California Tortilla is releasing the Ramen Burrito, available "for a limited time only" at their many locations, starting today.
The burrito swaps rice for Asian noodles. Customers can choose a chicken, steak or pork filling. It's all topped with a sweet red chili sauce, Sriracha pickled onions, avocado, spinach, corn, scallions and cilantro. Yum? They'll carry it through April. It can also be ordered as a burrito bowl.

COO and chief burrito creator/trend capitalizer Keith Goldman says in a press release, "Ramen was one of the hottest food trends of 2014, and our customers are always excited to try new flavors. So we reinvented the traditional noodle bowl without the broth, but with all the classic flavors, and wrapped it up in a flour tortilla. It's one of my favorite new menu items, and I can't wait for our customers to try it."
Ramen mash-ups were everywhere last year, from ramen sliders at the Ritz-Carlton in D.C. to New York's Ramenrrito. But they haven't stopped — just yesterday, David Chang created a Ramlet in a new video series.
