Looks like it's the end of the line for Rockville's wallet-friendly steakhouse, No. 82 Steak Out.
A note from the Eater tipline said as much, and the restaurant's phone is now disconnected. Yelp has marked the restaurant as closed, and on January 16, No. 82 Steak House posted a Facebook message inviting regulars to join them for their "last night." WaPo reviewer Tim Carman praised the restaurant's steak back in November.
Meanwhile, the tipster says a new restaurant called Ev & Maddy's would be taking over No. 82 Steak Out's space in Rockville Town Square, though Eater hasn't confirmed this yet. Ev & Maddy's posted a job ad earlier this month, writing, "Ev & Maddy's is a contemporary, European-style bistro that will be opening in the heart of Rockville Town Square. The restaurant will feature local, seasonal ingredients and incorporate global influences."
