A new service in D.C. aims to offer last-minute reservations for diners — but they have to be willing to pay for it.
Table8 launches today in D.C. Some of the tables can be reserved for free; others at peak times have a fee associated with them. Update: The company confirmed the fees are $20 for a two-top and $25 for a four-top at peak times.
Seventeen restaurants have signed on for the service so far, including such places as Jaleo, Zaytinya, Graffiato, Fiola Mare, Osteria Morini and Farmers Fishes Bakers.
Table8 launched in San Francisco last March, and in Los Angeles in September.
