Three men have started a new restaurant group that will take over the former Diego space at 2100 14th Street NW.
Social Restaurant Group is from Alex Lopez, Mike Bramson and Naeem Mohd. They've signed a lease but they are still working on both a concept and the design of the restaurant. They formed the group last year.
Lopez and Bramson used to work together to run Project DC Events, an events company (Lopez has a marketing and real estate background as well, while Bramson started in nightlife promotion). Mohd is a 12-year hospitality industry veteran who most recently opened Mad Rose Tavern in Arlington.
Diego Restaurant just closed its doors this week.
