The rumors are true. Mike Isabella is, in fact, opening up a restaurant in Bethesda.

That restaurant will be called Kapnos Kouzina and located at Bethesda Row. Expect a summer opening.

Isabella is designing each of his Kapnos restaurants to be a bit different; the upcoming Arlington location will focus on seafood, while this Bethesda restaurant will emphasize homestyle Greek cooking and have a market component.

According to a press release, some of the signature dishes for the restaurant will include Greek spiced crispy chicken with attiki honey, braised lamb top round served with lentils, eggplant, tomato and harissa and whole roasted branzino in a spicy clam broth with tomatoes, peppers and pearl onions. Some dishes from the original Kapnos will appear on the menu as well.

The restaurant's design will feature natural wood with an olive green and grey color scheme. Natalie Park Design Studio and Eimer Designs are handling the interior, which will seat 160 people.
