Urban Butcher Plans to Reopen, But the Timeline Isn't Clear

Silver Spring meat-centric restaurant Urban Butcher maintains it does plan to reopen in the same location, but the timing isn't clear.

Urban Butcher closed for repairs back in October, after suffering fire damage. Eater reached out to the restaurant this week for an update on its plans. A spokesperson for Urban Butcher says it does not have an estimated date of when it might reopen.

Back in mid-December, Urban Butcher posted this message on Facebook: "There are many different channels which we must go through and it's a long process. The GOOD NEWS is that we can assure you 100% that we will be re-opening in the future (at the same location). We love our community and we don't plan on going anywhere! Thanks again for understanding - we appreciate the continued support. We couldn't have done this without you!"
