Have an extra $449 hanging around? It will buy you plenty of Pappy.
Pinea plans to pair Pappy Van Winkle with game meat at a dinner scheduled for the restaurant's new Root Cellar Whiskey Bar Jan. 17. All five Pappy bourbons will be served along with five courses of game prepared by chef Barry Koslow. The $449 price tag includes tax and gratuity.
The restaurant plans to host a series of beverage themed dinners in the bar. In March, Japan's Yamazaki distillery will be featured; Catoctin Creek is also on the schedule. Tickets are here.
Will 2015 be a year of big-ticket beverage dinner? The Salamander Resort is also hosting a sushi and burgundy dinner with a $2,500 price tag.
