Tacos, 24/7 at the New Surfside Taco Stand, Opening Today

Bo Blair's latest project is open 24 hours.

Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

Tacos are an anytime food, and Bo Blair is ensuring Dupont Circle diners will have access to them 24/7.

The new Surfside Taco Stand opens today. Blair had waited a few weeks to open it so it would debut after the holidays. "Now, we're opening on the coldest day of the year," he said with a laugh.

The taco stand's menu bears a strong resemblance to the original Glover Park location, but there are more tacos to choose from and fewer items like burritos and salads. Four new tacos made the cut, including a teriyaki beef short rib, a crispy pork pastor taco and two vegetarian options (one will change seasonally).

All items at the walk-up, 24-hour taco stand are under $10. The hours should appeal to Dupont's bar crowd. "I just feel that D.C. is becoming more of a 24-hour city," Blair said. "With all the hotel guests and taxi drivers and people in the hospitality industry, there are like 1,000 places in New York that are 24 hours, and only a couple in D.C." Status: Opening today. 1800 N St. NWwebsite.
