Young & Hungry Experiments with the Juice Cleanse Trend

"It’s a social gathering place. You can say, ‘Let’s go get green juice,’ instead of, ‘Let’s go get coffee.’" That's the argument made by one of the many D.C. businesses latching onto the juice cleanse trend.

Young & Hungry takes a look at the phenomenon, which is popping up not just at a cafes and retail outlets, but at restaurants like Founding Farmers. Writer Jessica Sidman even embarks on her own cleanse, courtesy of new juice bar JRINK. "I have picked up a juice since, but I won’t be doing this again", she says.
