When it's 18 degrees outside, it can be hard to convince diners to leave the house for dinner. Eater's noticed that prix fixe menus are popping up this month that aren't at all connected to Restaurant Week. Here are some of the good deals restaurants have launched lately to get customers in the door in spite of the frigid temperatures:
*Nora's is running a three-course menu for $36 in honor of the restaurant’s 36th anniversary. Options include roasted winter squash soup, monkfish and shrimp bouillabaisse, amish chicken and cashew curry, multi-grain risotto with mushrooms, butternut, tomato, and chard, and bittersweet chocolate mousse.
*Cashion's Eat Place is offering a winter weekday deal, with a three-course menu for $35. Reservations are required for this deal.
*2941's Friday "Date Night" special offers a five-course tasting menu for $68 dollars, with a $45 dollar wine pairing.
*Urbana recently launched a Sunday Supper prix fixe family-style dinner, priced at $35 per person. The selection will rotate monthly, and this month's menu includes a shaved fennel and arugula salad, Cotechino sausage and lemon semifreddo.
*Arcuri in Glover Park debuted a $25, three-course Early Bird prix fixe dinner with rotating seasonal dishes. The early bird dinner is available nightly from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
