Catching (up with) Fishnet

Fishnet's changes are well in the works. Owner Ferhat Yalcin tells Eater they're looking to reopen the Shaw restaurant in early to mid-November with a new name, new layout and new menu.

Eat for Equality

Several local restaurants are donating a proceeds of their sales this month to the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. Getting in on the action: Taylor Gourmet, Shake Shack, Cava Grill and &pizza. The annual benefit Chefs for Equality benefitting HRC is later this month.

No Wiedmaier at The Wharf

One of the restaurateurs in talks for The Wharf won't be opening a restaurant there. Washington Business Journal says a Robert Wiedmaier restaurant won't be happening. [WBJ]

Get crabby when it's cooler

The stereotypical image of eating crabs in D.C. involves warm weather, beer and an outdoor setting. But WaPo's Bonnie Benwick says they're bigger and cheaper in October, so why not eat them now instead? [WaPo]
