A graffiti artist took credit for the destruction.

The mural of Bill Cosby on the side of Ben's Chili Bowl has been repaired after a graffiti artist defaced it yesterday.

UPDATE: A friend of the graffiti artist that originally damaged the artwork was able to remove a sticker covering Cosby's face, repairing the mural, according to NBC4.

The scandal-embroiled comedian's face has been covered over with an image of Kim Jong Un. A graffiti artist that goes by Smear Leader took credit for the vandalism on Instagram:

Eater reached out to Ben's Chili Bowl for any comment on the vandalism.

There have been calls to remove the mural at Ben's since charges of sexual assault against the comedian resurfaced. The graffiti artist has a history of incorporating the Korean leader's image into his work, according to Borderstan, which first spotted the vandalism.
