Robbery at Good Stuff
Good Stuff Eatery was robbed after hours Saturday night. Eater checked in with a spokesperson for an update on the incident. Luckily, sounds like everything is ok. "It appears to be a former employee; the incident was captured extensively on video camera in the store and area," she said via email. "The police have been extremely responsive and helpful. Luckily, our closing employees are okay. The neighborhood has been very supportive and we appreciate everyone who has reached out."
A wonton soup above all others?
Going Out Guide has some superlatives to offer about Scott Drewno's new wonton soup over at The Source. Even if it's priced at $16. [GoG]
Blast from the past
Washingtonian has some fun looking at what some existing restaurants used to be years ago. Sweetgreen was Little Tavern; Spider Kelley's was Queen Bee and so on.
If D.C. neighborhoods were bars...
"U Street can only scream one thing, on repeat: FIREBALL! Someone order U Street a water, please." [Thrillist]
