Cooper's Mill, Petworth Cafe and Amina Thai Now Open

1) BETHESDA: Cooper's Mill is now open inside the newly renovated Bethesda Marriott. Chef Patrick Lenhardt has created a menu using products from with 100 miles of the hotel. Highlights include pastrami from DC’s Stachowski Market and ice cream sandwiches made with cookies from Taharka Brothers in Baltimore. There are also eight local beers on tap and more in bottles. 2) PETWORTH: Petworth Cafe opens today, according to PoPville. The restaurant is advertising "grand opening specials" like biryani, rotisserie chicken and tandoori chicken, all priced $2.99-$3.99. Status: Certified open. 3657 Georgia Ave, NW; no website yet.

3) SILVER SPRING: Bethesda magazine reports Amina Thai has opened in Silver Spring. It specializes in halal Thai food and has a sister restaurant in North Bethesda. Status: Certified open. 8624 Colesville Rd., Silver Spring, Md.; no website yet.
