The full-service restaurant at Wagshal's Delicatessen opens today.
The square footage at the flagship Massachusetts Avenue store has increased from 1650 to 2800 square feet. The addition resembles the market's original architecture, which includes a replica of the old diamond texture ceiling and hardwood flooring from 1938.
The restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Menu items range from Belgian waffles and omelettes in the morning to sandwiches, pizzas and pork schnitzel at dinner.
