The Walter E. Washington Convention Center is getting some new food (and retail). Muriel Bowser announced several new restaurants coming to the meeting space. Here's what's on the way:

*The Unconventional Diner: This will be a "high end" diner, according to a press release.

*Smoked & Stacked: This is a fast-casual restaurant serving up pastrami; WCP reports Marjorie Meek-Bradley is behind it.

*Morris: This speakeasy from Spike Mendelsohn sounds similar to The Sheppard in Dupont.

Union Kitchen will also open another market and grocery store at the convention center, like the one it operates in Capitol Hill. They're adding a barber shop and an athletic club, too.
