EXPANSIONS— Mason Dixie Biscuit Company is coming to Whole Foods. The biscuit-makers will release  line of frozen biscuits at the Old Town and Ashburn stores. Arlington and P St. NW locations will follow. They'll offer multiple flavors, some rotating.[EaterWire]

ATLAS DISTRICT— Batter Bowl Bakery is rebranding itself as Uni Bistro. This is part of an ownership change. [DC]

MT VERNON TRIANGLE— City officials revealed today that, among other new restaurants, Smoked & Stacked from Marjorie Meek-Bradley is opening at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. A press release offers some more info about that restaurant: Meek-Bradley is partnering with Geoff Dawson and Peter Bayne on the project, and in addition to pastrami, there will be smoked chicken, portobello mushrooms and breakfast sandwiches.
