Former college roommates Jim Beeman and Keith Beutel are opening the 7 Locks Brewing taproom today at 3 p.m. Plans for the brewery at in Rockville were first announced back in May.
They're doing seven beers including a red rye, coffee stout, and hazelnut ale. Guests are permitted to bring their own food to the taproom. Beeman and Beutel also plan to regularly invite food trucks.
The Big Cheese truck will be there today for the opening. 7 Locks Brewing will then close for Thanksgiving and reopen on Friday at 1 p.m. Their regular hours (available on the website) start this Saturday. Status: Opening today. 12227 Wilkins Ave., Rockville, Md.; website.
