Hula Girl is officially opening this month on November 19 at 4044 Campbell Ave. in the former Aladdin's Eatery in Arlington.
The restaurant will serve some old favorites from the food truck like plate lunches, Spam masubi and teriyaki. It also feature Hawaiian cocktails and both local and Hawaiian beers. Owner Mikala Brennan, who was born and raised in Hawaii, returned there this summer to research the state's dishes.
Brennan spent two years searching for a location before settling on the 3,600 square foot space last May. It was designed by Hapstak Demetriou and has seating for 100. The outdoor patio will accommodate 25 diners and will also welcome dogs.
