Filipino Christmas at Daikaya, Phish Phry at The Black Squirrel, and More (Updated)

1) Filipino Christmas

What: As part of the "Late Night at Daikaya" series, the restaurant will offer holiday-themed drink specials and a Filipino-inspired late night menu. Bites include ​fried lumpia, puto bumbong, pandesal with ham and quezo de bola, and many more.

2) Ocelot Brewing Co. Phish Phry

What: The name of the brewery is inspired by a Phish song, so catfish, oysters, shrimp, boardwalk fries, and hush puppies will be served to complement Ocelot beers on tap. The event is being sponsored by the Beer Head Meet Up group.

3) Gingerbread Houses & Christmas Beers

What: Christmas beers like Great Lakes Christmas and Troegs Mad Elf are taking over the taps while guests make gingerbread houses. Ventnor is providing all the fixings. For reservations, send an email to

4) Still Life Terrarium Class

What: Sill Life terrarium founder Holley Simmons will host a holiday terrarium making class with succulents, moss, rocks, and a surprise element. Tickets ($55) include  the hour-long class, as well as materials and care instructions. RareSweets chef and owner Meredith Tomason will provide holiday cookies and egg nog.
