Soft-shell season is long over. Maryland crab season has concluded. Dungeness crab has its own problems right now. What's a crab lover to do?

Enter stone crab. The delicacy, which has its peak during the colder months, can be a little tough to track down in D.C. But it isn't impossible.

D.C. has spotted a handful of places carrying the crab already. Serving stone crab? Send an email to dc@eater.com with details.

Joe's Prime Seafood, Steaks & Stone Crab: Pricing for stone crab claws at Joe's changes daily depending on size. Today, for example, orders range from $39.95 to $69.95.

Black's Bar & Kitchen: Find stone crab a la carte for $15 per claw with mustard sauce (or fight over the one claw on the restaurant's $60 plateau). Sister restaurant BlackSalt is also offering it on its holiday catering menu.

Nopa Kitchen + Bar: The restaurant is offering a Florida stone crab salad with Meyer lemon, sunchoke chips, watermelon radishes and beets for $15.

PassionFish Reston: PassionFish has them on the raw bar menu when available throughout the season. The crab is served cracked over ice with key lime mustard sauce. Pricing is $14-$18 per claw for large. It can also be found at sister restaurant Acadiana on Christmas Eve.

Del Frisco's Double Eagle: Stone crab has been spotted at this CityCenterDC restaurant. Pricing ranges from $30-$86, depending on size of crab and order.
