Another ramen shop is coming to D.C.— this time to 14th Street. According to Borderstan, California-based chain Jinya Ramen Bar is opening in the former Ghana Cafe space at 1336 14th St. NW.
Jinya Ramen Bar already has locations in the Los Angeles area, Las Vegas, Houston, Seattle, Atlanta, and Canada. The New York City outpost closed last year. Menus vary by location, but the various franchises specialize in tonkotsu ramen, according to the website.
A notice on the door says the D.C. shop will accommodate 99 seated diners. There's no opening estimate yet, but a company representative told Borderstan the space needs significant renovations. It will take a while to complete construction.
