THE CHAINS— Chipotle says it will be making several changes in the attempts to combat recent foodborne illness outbreaks there. That includes pre-shredding cheese and pre-chopping tomatoes to test them for bacteria, blanching items like jalapenos and limes and more. [E]

SHAW— Looks like Saturday could end up being the soft opening for Kinship, Eric Ziebold's new restaurant, permits pending. This is the a la carte restaurant he is opening, one of two that will debut on the property this winter. [GoG]
