Bareburger is officially coming to D.C.
The New York-based organic burger chain, which has been eying the market since 2013, will open its first location in Dupont Circle. It will open at the intersection of R and Connecticut Streets NW, where a Cosi used to be.
"They want this to be the flagship for the D.C. market," said real estate broker Nick Chaconas, who secured the deal for the restaurant. A June opening is being targeted.
Eater has reached out to the restaurant's local representative for more details on their overall plans for the market.
Bareburger's menu features traditional and veggie burgers, plenty of salads, buffalo chicken sandwiches and more. They started expanding out of New York in 2013.
