Chef Rock Harper, who opened Navy Yard restaurant Willie's Brew & Que, has left his gig as chef for the barbecue restaurant. Harper Tweeted about his departure over the weekend.
Eater has reached out to the chef for any details on his next move. A rep for the restaurant says a replacement has not yet been lined up.
Willie's Brew & Que opened back in October.
Update: Harper's brother, general manager Ed Howard, has left the restaurant as well.
Harper said via email that he's still figuring out where he's headed next. "While I'm weighing my immediate options in the restaurant arena, I'm excited about being able to continue to serve my community, correct directly with my fans through my new site in the spring and refine our next restaurant concept."
