News broke yesterday that Pharmacy Bar will remain a dive bar under new ownership, reopening in March. Some people were skeptical of plans for The High Dive, particularly the fact that the bar plans to serve cocktails despite its professed divey status.
The bar, owned by Tristan Magee and Andrew Stuart, seems to be taking any criticism in stride, retweeting all critical Tweets and offering tongue-in-cheek responses. Below, a sample of some of the Tweets @highdivedc has retweeted, sent and responded to over the past day and a half.
@ronmknoxDC @TomGrahsler @Eater_DC It'd be better if they called the new spot "False Dive."

By "early 90's vibe" I just meant that we ended up with 4 Guns N Roses albums on our juke box and a SF2 cabinet #HighDiveDC

@pharmacy_bar It's ok. Let it all out people. Then, in a month, come cleanse your hatred with cheap drinks at #HighDiveDC
