They're not only opening — they're opening early.

There may be snow on the ground, but that won't stop Garden District. The patio-only restaurant, known for its beers and barbecue, was slated to reopen Sunday. Instead, they'll do it a day early and open up Saturday.

The team is firing up the smoker tonight and opening the gates tomorrow at noon. To celebrate its fifth anniversary in the neighborhood, they'll be offering $5 Hofbraus and bratwursts all season during the 5 p.m. hour Monday-Friday, too.

The beer garden closed for the winter December 8. When it reopens, it will bring with it heat lamps, fried pickles, burgers and more.
