1) Park View: D.C.'s getting a new Panamanian restaurant. Esencias Panameñas will open at 3322 Georgia Ave. NW, where Rita's Carryout used to be, according to PoPville. [PLYWOOD]

2) Alexandria: A new beer garden (which would be Alexandria's first) is negotiating for space at 1725 Duke St., Washington Business Journal reports. The project is from Ryan and Sarah Schradin, who are raising money on Kickstarter for the endeavor. They're calling it Good Beer. [PRE-PLYWOOD]

3) Petworth: A restaurant called Golden Paradise is going into the Rib Pit space. PoPville says they'll serve Mexican, Salvadoran and American food. [PLYWOOD
