The Loudoun Station development (along the metro's Silver line) has snagged two new restaurants for the project.
Blackfinn will open at the development before the end of the year, according to a rep from Comstock Partners. The bar has locations in such areas as downtown D.C. and Merrifield. There's a huge menu and more than 50 beers on tap. They'll take on 6,500 square feet of space next door to the Starplex Cinemas movie theater.
Meanwhile, chef Reza Monsefan (who used to run Pars Restaurant and is an almost 40 year industry veteran) will open a restaurant called Basil Leaf there. It will be fast casual Mediterranean with a Persian influence, with gluten-free and vegetarian choices. Monsefan has been doing catering in Virginia most recently before this.
"The food will be all kinds of kebabs," said Monsefan, including lamb, beef, seafood, vegetarian and chicken. Customers will be able to pick their sides, rice and protein and get in and out of the restaurant quickly. They'll serve lunch and dinner and may expand to brunch or breakfast if all goes well. A June or July opening is planned, he said.
