Swampoodle, Sushi-2-Go, More Coming

Plus, Philos Mezze and Wine Bar.

Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

1) Brightwood: A new restaurant called Swampoodle (the name invokes a former Irish neighborhood in D.C.) is opening at 5501 14th St. NW. A major focus seems to be burgers. Their Facebook page says they are "much closer" to opening in D.C. now that spring is here, but they did not respond to a request for more information. [PLYWOOD]

2) Mt. Vernon Triangle: Philos Mezze and Wine Bar is bound for 4th and Massachusetts Ave. NW. That's the former Tel'Veh space. Here's the website. A spring opening is planned. [PLYWOOD]

3) Ballston: A new restaurant called Sushi-2-Go will  move into a spot near the Ballston Metro, where Tivoli used to be. ARLNOW said an opening date was not available. [PLYWOOD]
