All the Cool Chefs Want to Open Something at The Wharf

But it's still unclear how many of these propositions will become a reality.

Several big-name chefs and restaurateurs have expressed interest or have been approached about opening restaurants at The Wharf, which is being redeveloped in Southwest D.C.

The Washington Business Journal cites such examples as Mike Isabella, Bryan Voltaggio, Robert Wiedmaier, Stephen Starr, Fabio Trabocchi, Hank's Oyster Bar's Jamie Leeds, Jackie Greenbaum and the Hilton brothers.

Some of these names may be a wish list. But Isabella's team, for example, has confirmed interest. And Cathal Armstrong has already revealed he has signed a letter of intent to bring an Asian restaurant there in 2016. WBJ reports Leeds, Ian Hilton and Greenbaum have signed letters of intent as well. No leases appear to have been finalized.
