Frederick brewery Flying Dog is bringing back its Old Bay-flavored Dead Rise ale next month, and will even experiment with a spicier brew later this year

The beer will premiere at Oriole Park at Camden Yards on opening day (April 10). The beer will be available throughout the East Coast through September.

The beer was exceedingly popular when it debuted last year; at one point, half the brewery's capacity was devoted to production of the beer.

Proceeds from the sale of the beer will benefit True Blue, which supports the state's crabbing industry. Distribution is also being expanded to all of Virginia,Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, West Virginia and North Carolina, as well as the U.K. Last year it was only available in greater D.C.

The brewery will also experiment with the new Old Bay Hot Seasoning to create a Double Dead Rise spicier version. It will only be available in the brewery's tasting room in July.

They're also holding a Dead Rise Restaurant Week in mid-June featuring recipes from a Dead Rise Old Bay cookbook, debuting in April. Restaurants like Volt and Wit and Wisdom contributed recipes.
