Stomping Ground, Another Carluccio's, More Coming

Plus, a hint that José Andrés' Trump restaurant might serve Spanish food.

1) Del Ray: Stomping Ground, a new cafe for Del Ray, will focus on biscuits (particularly at breakfast) and other Southern fare. Pastry chef Heather Roth and Nicole Jones are among those involved with the project. [PLYWOOD]

2) Metro Center: It's still far off (as in 2016), but Popville notes a liquor license placard for José Andrés' restaurant at the Trump Hotel, which will serve Spanish fare, if the application can be believed. [PRE-PLYWOOD]

3) Clarendon: ARLNOW brings word of a European restaurant and bar called Park Lane Tavern opening at 1200 N. Irving Street this summer [PRE-PLYWOOD]

4) Rockville/N. Bethesda: The Pike & Rose development is getting a location of Carluccio's, an Italian restaurant and market which has announced plans to expand in the region. Robert Dyer reports the lease but no timeline. Another is opening in Alexandria. [PRE-PLYWOOD]
