District Commons' Initiative #71 Cocktail Pays Tribute to D.C.'s Pot Legalization

Hemp-seeded vodka is involved.

District Commons now has a cocktail that pays tribute to the legalization of marijuana in D.C.

The Initiative #71 (named for the initiative that legalized possession in the city) is made with Purgatory Hemp Seeded Vodka, Smooth Ambler barrel-aged gin, Ragged Mountain rum, Xilli habanero and cayenne-infused tequila, blood orange puree and pineapple juice. The drink does not contain actual marijuana. It's $12 at the bar.

This is the second pot-themed drink to appear on the D.C. market since the initiative passed. DC Brau collaborated with Oskar Blues on Smells Like Freedom, which has "aromas of cannabis" as part of its flavor profile.
